From our initial chat session with Stealth Hitches, where I worked my way through a number of silly questions, through to the final install and usability, I've become a huge fan of Stealth Hitches.
During our pre-sales steps, we received quick, accurate, and courteous information.
The product arrived quickly and well packaged.
The install instructions seemed so well prepared that we(my wife and I) decided to make a run at installing it ourselves. This was a scary proposition, working on the body and electronics within a $80k german car. However, the process was extremely intuitive and only took us about 2.5 hours. It was worth saving the $300 or so dollars to do ourselves. We did spend about $25 on tools at Amazon(plastic body removal tools, torx head, etc...) . I highly recommend splurging for a couple of those cheap tools to make the process much easier.
The hitch looks great (in so much as you can't see it, right?!?!). It functions as advertised and seems to haul the boat really well.
Our free computer programming session is scheduled for later today. This is a terrific, included value ad that's worth asking about. Not only is it designed to turn the rear view car sensors off when towing a boat(think about it), but also included are a bunch of other custom programming options that have nothing to do with the hitch, but are really awesome and worth hundreds of dollars.
Truth be told, only time will tell on how well this solution holds up. I mean, it's a relatively new idea/product. But, if the quality of the materials and the initial experience is any indication, I'm sure I'll be a customer for life.
Well worth it. Excellent product.
Thank you Stealth Hitches!
