Ordered it with the 2" receiver needed 1 1/4" easy return and sent new one. All phone calls answered promptly. Had trouble getting receiver attached. Thought it was correctly installed, but It actually came out while transporting bike. Called from the side of the road and technician talked me through proper installation, Was back on the road in a couple minutes. Had a different hitch on my old 2014 A5 which was visible. This is worth the money for the invisibility on my new (to me) 2018 A5! Love it!
Excellent product!
Great, just installed it yesterday. Took about 2 hours.
Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the Stealth Hitch and my installation. The quality of construction and finish are top notch as is the customer service. I had a few difficulties installing that I brought on myself. Read and and study closely the installation instructions. There were a couple of items in the instructions that were wrong but had no issues getting around them. I spent around 4 hours doing the work not including interruptions. Of course if I did this again, it would take a lot less time. Duh. Regarding the fascia trim, I used a Dremel plastic cutting disc bit that worked very well.
This is a great product and fit very well. The instructions are easy to ready and understand but read them carefully. I had to call into tech support a couple of times to make 100% sure I did not mess the install up. Their customer service is GREAT!. I strongly suggest that you have a larger variety of automotive tools than the ones stated in the instructions. You will need to use various drive extensions and a few other tools like a multimaster to get this done right. The entire project took me about 8 hours to install which included wrapping up the electrical connections in the VW/Audi Cloth tape. Cutting the rear bumper proved to be a challenge and it's better to cut the bumpper slightly smaller than too large. This was the most challenging part of the install......getting the cuts even as the A5 Base and the S-line have different bumpers. This is not a project for a novice....if you are inexperienced.....I suggest you go to an automotive body shop that works on Audi as they will be familiar with bumper and crash bar removal as well and the electrical connections. All in all this is a great product, very well built and worth every penny!
