the installation process was not too bad. However, my package came did not come with some parts specified, so we had to buy washers & bolts for complete the installation. The hitch was also a very tight fit onto the car body, and the bolts to connect the hitch to the frame could only go in one direction (the wrong direction as specified in the installation guide) as one side was much thicker than the other.

Took my car to my BMW shop Application took about 3 hours A little trimming on the inside needed to access stealth lock. Total application is not visible unless you look under the car. Applied my Thule bike rack, and the entire application was PERFECT. Stealth is as advertised, STEALTH ( not visible) Very happy customer Thanks

It takes a few weeks now to get a hitch because everyone wants anything related to bikes. I had it installed at the local Nissan dealer who did a great job. With a BMW there is some cutting of the fascia required just beyond the rear bumper plastic. It is not noticeable; I don't foresee any long term issues that might arise from the lack of that fascia. Because of the stealth nature of the hitch, getting it on and off is simple yet requires you to get down on the ground and put your hands up under the bumper to get to the lock and the handle that releases the hitch insert. You will probably want to take it off only when you aren't going to use it for a while. I would recommend that you have it professionally installed because it does require that you remove the bumper covering and do some cutting on the fascia which is in effect a plastic shield that simply keeps water and debris from getting on the underside of the trunk. Nice but not absolutely necessary. The whole assembly will lower the ground clearance by about 2 inches. I have not used it yet to give any review of that aspect but so far it looks as if it will work great. Pics available.

Install was very simple, only about 2 hours, everything fit well, cut less plastic than the directions said to as to keep a bit more structure in my bumper

The hitch works great. High quality. It needs to be professionally installed which is what I did. The only problem which was not mentioned anywhere was that in the GT model the bumper had to be cut slightly so the hitch would fit. I wasn’t too happy about that but the professional installers made it look good. I think you should update your site so people understand that.
