I use this hitch on a MINI Cooper to hold a bike rack. This hitch is stable and easy to use. It's exactly what the company says it is. I had it professionally installed by a shop recommended on their website and was pleased by the shop's professionalism and thoroughness. Stealth Hitch was easy to deal with and very customer oriented. It was a pleasure doing business with them.
Installation took me a few hours, most of which was carefully pulling of the Countryman's body panels, and also figuring out a tidy route for the power cable to the battery. Otherwise the hitch went in like a breeze, with cuts to only non-visible parts of the exhaust heat shield and bracket. It's a very beefy hitch beam and the attachments (I have both the receiver and ball mount) mount in solidly. I would attach a picture to this review... but you'll literally see the tail of my Countryman as it looks stock, with nothing showing!
We got a Stealth Hitch for our MINI Countryman S ALL4 and could not be happier. With the receiver off you can't tell at all that the hitch is there. The removable receiver is super easy to install and remove and once installed the whole setup is rock-solid. It's very high quality. Took our pretty expensive road bikes on it last weekend and didn't spare a thought about security of attachment to the vehicle. I had pros install it (my buddy owns a body shop) and they said it was pretty straightforward, however the "kick sensor" for the automatic hatch did have to be relocated slightly, however it still works perfectly, just have to kick in a different spot. Overall very satisfied and would def recommend this to anyone looking for a clean look on their car, while also being able to enjoy the benefits of a hitch for bike racks etc.
Hope you had video instructions. We didn't want to put a visible tow receiver in our Europeans cars, this was the perfect solution.
